At NewSchools we understand the responsibility of supporting the management of schools.   Both through our management of PFI Schools and our delivery of advisory services for Building Schools for the Future (BSF), we take a leading role in creating solutions that converge with a Schools aspiration for its own service delivery.

 

Through our involvement in BSF and PFI Schools, we work alongside you, through the entire development process and are with you every step of the way; from procurement to the construction phase, through handover, and into operation.

 

In procurement, our aim is simple: to bring about change through translation of our expertise to meet the vision of your school.  We work within consortia to understand how you wish change to be achieved through programmes such as BSF, placing education settings at the heart of the delivery of Local Education Partnerships (LEPs).  We see LEPs as a vehicle for true regeneration of a locality, and offer bespoke sustainable solutions which draw on the expertise of the consortia we work within and the strenghts of your existing partnerships and providers.

 

During design we bring a wealth of knowledge and understanding of how construction can effect education settings but also, and more significantly, the operational impact of school design.  In partnership with you, we ensure the outcomes of design are maximized to synergise the management of the facility with your delivery of education.

 

In the construction phase, we make sure disruption to your school is minimized, maintaining separation between construction and education activities. The NewSchools approach is to keep an open dialogue with your school, the constructors and all local interested parties to ensure that this phase of development is well understood.  In our experience, this approach will achieve our shared aim of managing the Health and Safety implications of the works, whilst educating your community as to the aspects and benefits of construction.

 

Once your school is operational, here at NewSchools we feel we have the chance to prove our committment to your school and students.  Our role will be to manage the delivery of the facilities management services, and we take this very seriously.  We seek out projects where we are able to provide services to PFI and BSF schools, showing our committment to being a partner for the long-term. 

 

In every aspect of service delivery we act in partnership, creating relatiopnships with the teaching staff and students to positively contribute to your education objectives.
